'Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is a Japanese art of repairing pottery with seams of gold.

The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese. This art form repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars it makes a feature of them. This is a picture of what can happen in our lives.

Environment:

Kintsugi Hope is a UK charity striving to make a difference to people’s mental wellbeing. A few of us from The FLTR Community have undergone Kintsugi Hope's training, and are excited to be able to bring Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups to Bicester. We hope to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels welcome to share about their own emotional and mental health journeys. We want you to know that for us as group leaders, it is our faith in Jesus and following his ways that inspires us in the way that we do business and build communities, and Wellbeing Groups are one of those things we hope will bring life to our community. So, faith and spiritual health may come up for any of us around the table in the stories we share, but this is not a Bible study or "church group," and the course itself is not a faith promoting course. The option for prayer or more faith exploration will be kept separate from the group.
